PREVIOUS POLICY STATEMENTS

POLICY @ CSD-19

This year, the work of the CSD will be divided into two groups. At the moment (based on the provisional agenda) the break down is:

Group 1, which includes Transport, Chemicals, Mining, Cross-cutting Issues and Interlinkages

Group 2, which includes the preamble, the 10 Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production and Waste-Management.

At the CSD, we will have teams of trackers (min. 2 individuals) cover each thematic area. They would keep track of what is said by who and this data will assist the rest of the group to lobby. These trackers will be responsible for updating their teams briefly (whoever is available / interested) and will also participate in lobbying once their thematic area is covered. So, keep this in mind when planning what you are interested in doing / attending. Because we need volunteers.
Due to the nature of the policy year, we recommend selecting only one thematic group to focus on during the Policy Lobbying that you will be undertaking in New York. The Policy Session of the fourth implementation cycle, CSD-19 focuses on the following thematic issues and you can keep updated and involved in the Major Group of Children and Youth's Policy Advocacy by joining:
